Planting trees in Roskilde

We’re planting 28 new trees at Hestetorvet in Roskilde.

We’ve selected a variety of evergreens, including Austrian Pine, Scots Pine, and Giant Sequoia, combined with deciduous trees such as Red Oak, Fringed Oak, Pedunculate Oak, Ash, Cut-leaved Alder, Japanese Cherry, and more exotic species such as Cork Trees. These are complemented by smaller flowering trees such as Crabapple, Hawthorn, and Ornamental Cherry.

All trees are specially selected at Kortegaard Planteskole.

Hestetorvet is the arrival square for Roskilde Station and is part of our renewal project in Roskilde, which also includes the transformation of Algade.

Improvements to Hestetorvet include levelled outdoor dining areas and lush greenery that separates the surrounding traffic while creating recreational spaces within the square. 80% of the materials are reused.
