Salt Crystal consists of new block for hotel and congress center and residential buildings which will address the city’s most attractive site along Hamntorget and Helsingör quay. The buildings standing next to water will also create the port city’s new landmark.

Square and the surrounding landscape merges new buildings and streetscape together with Helsingborg’s historic district and generates an active public space in the harbor. The new harbor square is characterized by openness and accessibility for all, a space for activities, stay and events – a place which mediates contact with the water and the surrounding city.

City space for a Congress and Hotel Centre and a housing block in the central harbor area of Helsingborg, ÅNGFÄRGAN. The Harbour Square and its surrounding spaces connect the new buildings to the surrounding city, and adds an attractive, active and flexible public space to the water front.

MOVEMENT. Sloping surfaces and sharp edges are ideal for skateboarding, roller skating, BMX and lining.
REST. Sunny areas to sit down and watch the harbor and the sea. Gathering points and seats for friends, groups and individual pleasures.

PLAY. Time for playing in the rainwater puddle, mirrored waterstripes, crystal peaks and other adventures.
TERRAIN. The varied backdrops and surface structures make the place interesting for mountain bikes, bmc and children’s cyclists.
