In a very limited space, we create a courtyard with a welcoming atmosphere. For the renewal of the Classensgade courtyard, it’s about utilizing every square meter with carefully selected elements and high-quality materials that will support the daily life for years and years to come.

Tactile materials like brick and the large wooden seating furniture invite you to sit down and enjoy the afternoon sun. Rainwater is handled above ground and led to the central planting bed where it’s collected in a pond. The water ads seasonal changes to the small space while and creates the base for a water-loving plant selection. A large water feature reflects the sky and leads your attention up and into the foliage of the Garnision Cemetary’s old trees. A new pavilion structure with climbing plants covers the waste stations and allow you to focus your attention to the atmospheric planting, the colour variations of the coal-burnt tiles or the view to the old cemetery.
