06 Aug 2025 Say hi to Kaja and Nataly – and welcome back to Anna …
A big welcome to Kaja Lindegren (center), Nataly Muzikarova (right), and Anna Maria Lundman (left) – our interns and student worker for fall 2025!
“I find landscape architecture interesting because it is an inclusive form of architecture that focuses on public spaces, promoting spatial equity and community engagement. Landscape design influences the physical and mental well-being of all inhabitants by providing opportunities for recreation, social interaction, and by creating beautiful, liveable places,” says Kaja Lindegren.
Kaja holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from SLU Alnarp and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in urban design at the University of Copenhagen. Her previous experience includes an internship at Krook & Tjäder, where she worked on large-scale urban projects.
Kaja has used some of MASU’s projects as references and sources of inspiration in her studies.
“I am fascinated by the respectful approach MASU Planning takes – striving to create public environments that are historically rooted, functional, and aesthetically beautiful,” she explains.
In her spare time, Kaja renovates houses using traditional techniques, a passion she shares with her father. During holidays, she often returns to the family farm in Sweden to work on restoring one of the old buildings. She’s also an avid runner and believes running is the best way to explore and understand a city.
Nataly Muzikarova has a diverse, international background and is currently pursuing her second master’s degree.
“I completed my bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture back home in Prague. Wanting to broaden my perspective, I pursued a master’s degree at the University of Manchester. Afterwards, I still didn’t feel my academic journey was complete, so I’m currently studying Sustainable Urban Planning and Design at KTH in Stockholm,” says Nataly.
Her interest in landscape architecture came rather unexpectedly. While exploring potential fields of study, her mother casually mentioned that she would have chosen landscape architecture if given the chance to start over.
“That simple comment set me on a path that has turned out to be one of my best decisions. Landscape architecture fascinates me because it merges creativity with a deep awareness of social and environmental realities. It can be whimsical in its attention to the smallest details, yet it also serves as a candid reflection of today’s pressing urban and ecological challenges.”
Nataly has always wanted to come to Copenhagen, so applying for an internship at MASU Planning felt like a natural step.
“I chose MASU Planning for its interdisciplinary approach to urban and landscape design. I believe getting an internship here was the best outcome I could wish for, and I’m excited to begin this journey with the whole MASU team,” she concludes.
Nataly’s hobbies align closely with her profession – whether she is creating or perceiving. She enjoys unwinding from our technology-driven lives through ceramics, and she loves visiting galleries and museums (preferably with a fika stop afterwards!).
This autumn, we are also happy to welcome back Anna Maria Lundman to our office. Anna is pursuing her master’s degree in landscape architecture at the University of Copenhagen, after earning her bachelor’s degree from SLU Alnarp in Sweden. She was our intern last year, and we’re grateful she has returned – this time as a student worker.
For Anna, landscape architecture is about making spaces more functional, beautiful, and meaningful for both humans and animals.
“What fascinates me about landscape architecture is the challenge of viewing a place as a cohesive whole, where diverse elements must be seamlessly integrated. I find MASU Planning’s holistic approach inspiring – especially how the team incorporates elements like history and identity into their designs,” Anna says, eager to be back in the office.
