09 Dec 2024 Environmental Structure of the Year finalist
Töölönlahden kesäpuisto (Töölönlahdenpuisto Summer Park) in one of five finalists for The Environmental Structure of the Year Award.
The experimental project combines a rapidly implemented temporary park design alongside a long-term strategy for construction and maintenance.
In close collaboration with the City of Helsinki MASU Planning has developed a general concept plan for Töölönlahdenpuisto. The summer park project reflects the overall goals, while incorporating feedback from residents into the ongoing design. The experiment will continue until 2026, when the permanent construction begins.
The winner will be announced at the Green Days’ Green Gala on Wednesday, 5th February 2025.
