A Sensory Garden in Tidsskriften Landskap

Magneten Sensory Garden — the rooftop garden located above a municipal activity and social center for citizens with physical and mental disabilities in Frederiksberg, Denmark — is featured in the latest edition of the Swedish Tidsskriften Landskap.

“From above, the garden’s shape almost resembles a fidget spinner, with its organic form where each circle creates a distinct space. There is a vegetable garden, a fire garden, and a flower garden. These vary in size and design to allow for different types of activities and to stimulate various senses. (…) For some within Magneten’s target group, this place may be their only contact with nature, making it highly valuable.” – Cecilia Karlson.

The article includes interviews with Sune Oslev, partner at MASU Planning, and Rasmus Rasmussen, leader of Magneten.

Thank you, Cecilia Karlson and Tidsskriften Landskap, for your interest in the sensory rooftop garden.

MASU Planning is responsible for the landscape design of the rooftop garden — winner of the Scandinavian Green Roof Award. AI is the main advisor with Møllerløkkegaard as contractor. The Municipality of Frederiksberg was the client.
